Combining a lifetime of adventure, risk, and impactful experiences, Vik Wilen funnels her creativity and passions into stunning representations of the landscapes around her. Vik’s self-taught style depicts earthly elements - enhancing them with vibrant, soul-filling colours. Heavily inspired by the Canadian landscape and Lake Superior, Vik creates works of art that reflect and represent the beauty of the region. Now, she brings her ability to render the earth, sky, and water in dynamic brushstrokes to another one of her favourite pastimes: surfing. 

Welcome to “Ola” - Vik’s love letter to surfing and wakeboard culture made personal with her unique painting style. 

Alongside a total of ten lake surfboards + wake surfboards, view all new original acrylic paintings inspired by the beautiful regional landscape of Northwestern Ontario.

All boards + artwork will be available for purchase.

Working together with a small family-run company based in Wisconsin US, Vik designed this series of boards that can be used to surf and wake surf on any body of water. The boards are hand-shaped and built with incredible quality also acting as hangable artwork: use or display, you decide!

The culmination of a dedicated practice and lifelong commitment to adventure, Vik invites you to celebrate her love of artwork, surf culture, and community at the exhibition opening Friday, December 1st, catered by Swell bakery and supported by the Ontario Arts Council, Fresh Air Experience, and Bridgeway Physio.
